A 29-year member of the Hamilton Police Service was arrested on September 28, 2016 as a result of an off-duty domestic assault investigation.
On September 29, 2016, Hamilton Police were notified by the Brantford Police Service of a domestic assault investigation and arrest.
Brantford Police have charged the 52-year-old patrol officer with Assault Level One. He was taken into custody and has been released on a Promise to Appear with conditions. The court date is set for November 8, 2016, at the Brantford courthouse.
The Hamilton Police Service will not release the name of the Constable as it may identify the victim. The officer has been reassigned to administrative duties.
