Police Looking For Dirty Depends Ditch Dumper

(HURON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On July 25, 2014 at 11:45 am, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a littering report from a resident of Huron Township. Since June 1, 2014 soiled depends undergarments and soiled diapers have been found in Point Clark area ditches.

Section 86 of the Environmental Protection Act prohibits littering; “No person shall abandon any material in a place, manner, receptacle or wrapping such that it is reasonably likely that the material will become litter”. On conviction, a first time violator faces a fine of up to $1,000.

The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122.
