On June 27, 2016 at approximately 11:25 p.m. police responded to a vehicle fire on King Street in Wallaceburg. An unknown man, riding a bicycle, tossed a plastic bottle with a flammable liquid inside, onto the hood of a blue Pontiac Sunfire. A neighbour quickly extinguished the flame with a fire extinguisher saving the car from any major damage. The man fled on his bike, down Albert Street, crossed the railroad tracks along Duke Street and was last seen in a large field on Murray Street.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him. Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Rod Louzon at [email protected] or 519-436-6600 extension #87236. Anonymous callers may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.
