Police Locate Accessibility Ramp Stolen from Mississauga Family

Mississauga – Members of the Peel Regional Police 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have located an accessibility ramp stolen from the front step of a residence in Mississauga.

Sometime between 7:00 p.m. on Saturday August 6, 2016 and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday August 7, 2016, unknown suspect(s) attended a residence in the area of Huntington Ridge Drive and Mavis Road in the City of Mississauga and stole the family’s accessibility ramp. The ramp is used by the family’s son who is wheelchair bound.

The 3 foot x 8 foot silver aluminium folding ramp was located by a member of the public last night in the area of Guildwood Way and Eglinton Avenue West in Mississauga. Peel Regional Police have returned the ramp to the family.

The investigation is continuing and anyone with information regarding any suspect(s) information is asked to contact investigators at the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at (905)-453-2121, ext. 1233.
