The Owen Sound Police Service is investigating the death of a pet cat that was found Friday evening.
On Friday May 22nd, 2015 the usually indoor cat was inadvertently let out of the family home located in the area of 16th Street and 3rd Avenue East. The family began to search the area for the grey short-haired cat and eventually found it deceased. It had been placed in a garbage can in a park located in that area.
It is not clear how the cat died but it had suffered obvious trauma. Anyone with information regarding the death or disposal of this family pet is asked to contact Constable Liza Wild at 519-376-1234 ext. 145.
