Halton police are investigating three separate incidents of homes being entered in Oakville, while residents were home sleeping.
During the early hours of August 25th, unknown suspects entered two homes on Old Oak Drive and another on Callaghan Crescent. The suspects targeted jewelry, wallets and laptops. Residents remained sleeping during all three incidents and no confrontations occurred with suspects. In two of the incidents the suspects are believed to have entered the properties through unlocked garage doors.
Police are reminding the public to be vigilant about securing all doors and accessible windows at night. Residents should also utilize existing alarm systems, and any outside motion lighting. Also, any sightings of suspicious persons or vehicles should be reported to police as soon as possible.
