Police Investigate Mischief At Construction Site

(DRAYTON, ON) The County of Wellington OPP are investigating a mischief that occurred at a building under construction on Faith Drive in the Village of Drayton.

Investigation revealed sometime between Saturday April 27 to the morning of Monday April 29, 2013, unknown suspects entered on to the construction site beside the Foodland in the Village of Drayton. A port-o-potty was tipped over prior to the suspects forcing a door to gain access to the building under construction. Once inside, a fire hose was cut from the fire box, several fire extinguishers were emptied throughout the building, a large window and patio door was smashed, and a water tap was turned on flooding the lower level of the building. The damage is estimated to be several thousand dollars.

The County of Wellington OPP is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the responsible parties in this incident. Anyone with information in this matter, or if anyone witnesses any type of suspicious activity, they can call The County of Wellington OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
