Police Investigate Bridge Burning and $30,000 Trailer Fire

(CHESLEY, ON) – On April 30th, 2012 at 6:01 am, the South Bruce OPP received a report of a fire on the walking trail rail bridge along 2nd Street Southwest in Chesley. Officers arrived with the Chesley Fire Department to find the wooden structure of the bridge was on fire. There were no reports of any injuries caused by the fire.

(CHESLEY, ON) – On April 30th, 2012 at 3:32 am, the South Bruce OPP received a report of a trailer fire on 4th Street Southwest in Chesley. Officers arrived to find a 21 foot Prowler house trailer fully engulfed by flames. The estimated value of the trailer is more than $30,000. There were no injuries reported at the scene of the fire.

The cause of these fires is being investigated by the South Bruce OPP with the assistance of the South Bruce OPP Crime Unit. Anyone with information on either of these fires is asked to call the South Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
