Waterloo Region, Ontario– The Waterloo Regional Police Service is proud to once again participate in Random Act of Kindness (RAK) Day and will be surprising unsuspecting community members with gift cards, throughout Waterloo Region.
Random Act of Kindness Day is a community initiative lead by the Kitchener Waterloo Community Foundation (KWCF) which promotes the power of positivity and encourages a ‘pay it forward’ attitude.
“It only takes a moment to make a difference in someone’s day and we hope that our efforts, along with everyone who is taking an active role in Random Act of Kindness Day, spreads a positive message throughout our community,” said Chief Bryan Larkin. “We are pleased to make kindness a priority today and will look forward to this opportunity for many years to come.”
Williams Fresh Café was this year’s generous donor, who provided three hundred coffee gift cards for distribution by police members to the community. The Waterloo Regional Police Service will also be conducting three ‘RAK Day giveaways’ of police merchandise to randomly selected Twitter followers (follow @WRPSToday).
