Police Follow Blood Trail After Violent Home Invasion – Greg And Beau SHERK Arrested

York Regional Police have charged two men following a break and enter that occurred at a residence in Keswick.

On Tuesday, June 14, at 8:15 p.m., York Regional Police received a call that there were a group of men in a parking lot on Riverglen Drive that were covered in blood. When police arrived they located a man lying in the southbound lanes of the Queensway South in the area of Riverglen Drive. He was taken to hospital suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators learned that at approximately 8 p.m., two men and a woman were at a residence on Riverglen Drive when three men forced their way in. Both men and the woman that had been in the residence were assaulted by the suspects. A scuffle ensued and the suspects were chased out of the residence onto the roadway. The suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival.

As officers were investigating the scene they located a blood trail, which led them to two vehicles that were parked behind a plaza. The suspects were not there, but the vehicles were seized by police.

As officers were at the hospital with the victim who had been found on the roadway, two men were located and noted to be suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. Officers investigated the men and determined that they were two of the suspects involved in the break and enter. They were both placed under arrest.

Both men have been held in custody and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket for bail hearings on Wednesday, June 15, 2016.

The investigation is ongoing.
