On January 15th 2015 at approximatley 4:00 p.m., Police located a stolen pickup in a parking lot on Chandler Drive. While police continued the investigation, the vehicle reversed out of the lot striking the officer, and then fled. A female passenger was arrested at the scene without incident for occupying the stolen motor vehicle.
On January 16th 2015 at approximatley 2:53 a.m. Police observed the same stolen pickup driving on Courtland Avenue in Kitchener. Police followed the vehicle to a driveway on Highland Road, where the driver reversed the vehicle, ramming a police cruiser. The driver was removed from the vehicle and taken into custody without further incident. A 32 year old Kitchener male was held for a bail hearing charged with Possesion of Stolen Property over $5000 x 3, Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle x2, Breach Probation x2, Drive Disqualified x4, Flight From Police, Assault with a Weapon. There were no injuries in either incident.
