On Sunday July 12, 2015 at approximately 7:20 a.m. a male carrying a wooden plank in the area of King St. and Queen St. in Kitchener approached a 46 year old Kitchener male at a bank and demanded money from the victim. No money was taken from the victim. The victim immediately left the area to call police and was followed by the suspect who struck him with the plank and then fled. The victim received medical attention for his injuries. The robbery suspect was subsequently located and arrested by Police. A 30 year old male of no fixed address was charged with Attempt Robbery, Assault Cause bodily Harm, Weapons Dangerous, Cause Disturbance, Possession of Schedule 1- Meth, and Breach Probation X2.
