Pickup Truck With Keys Stolen From Kieffer Line

(NORTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating a recent theft of a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck that was stolen from a Kieffer Line residence.

The pickup truck was stolen sometime between December 6 and December 9, 2017. The pickup truck had been left unlocked with the ignition key inside.

The truck is described as a teal-blue, 4X4 Chevrolet Silverado with chrome tubular running boards. The truck is also equipped with a black three-piece folding tonneau cover.

The truck is valued at approximately $20,000.

Here are some suggestions for owners on how to best protect your property and reduce your chance of becoming a victim.

Lock the doors and pocket the keys when you park your car.

Always park your vehicle in a well-lit area.

If you have a garage, use it and lock the garage door as well as your vehicle.

Never leave your vehicle unattended while it is running

Never leave valuable objects or packages in full view

Always roll up your vehicle’s windows

Watch out for suspicious people or activity in your neighbourhood. Call police immediately, don’t delay; your information may help solve a crime.
