(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Friday July 19, 2013, at 4:30 p.m. Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a crash at the intersection of Hwy 23 at Perth Line 72 in Newry.
Upon arrival the officers determined that a Dodge Caravan towing a trailer with a boat was travelling south bound on Hwy 23. A west bound Ford pickup truck was travelling on Perth Line 72. The pickup truck after having stopped proceeded to cross Hwy 23 where it struck the driver’s side of the minivan. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.
One member of the St. Clair Twp. family of four, travelling in the minivan, sustained minimal injuries, while both of the occupants of the pickup truck were unhurt. The two occupants of the pickup truck were not injured. The 19 year old female driver of the pickup truck, a resident of Huron East has been charged with fail to yield to traffic on through highway”. “
