Peter Bates – Drunk Driving

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) On Sunday June 10, 2012 shortly after 2 p.m. Perth County OPP officers responded to a call at Wildwood Conservation area. Conservation Area Staff had stopped a male who had used his minivan to skip ahead of other boaters who were waiting to launching their boats at the marina boat-launch.

As OPP officers arrived, it was determined that the male driver of the minivan displayed signs of alcohol impairment. He was arrested and transported to the Exeter OPP Detachment where he failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.

Peter Bates (40) of London has been charged with “impaired operation of a motor vehicle”, and “operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood”. He is scheduled to appear in Stratford Court on July 16, 2012, to answer to these charges.
