Pervert Arrested For Using Internet Facing Breach Charge

Members of the Barrie Police Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit had previously charged a 38 year old Barrie man with multiple counts of Possession of Child Pornography in June 2015. The male was released on conditions that were specific regarding not to access the internet or possess devices that were capable of access to the internet.

Police, while conducting checks regarding his conditions, located on-line activity on social media that indicated the accused was not complying. On the Wednesday, February 10th, 2016 at 6:20pm the male was located, arrested and charged for one count of Breach of Recognizance. The male was also in possession of digital devices which require further investigation. The male was held at Barrie Police Service for a bail hearing.

The investigation will now require an examination of computers seized to provide further insight into the accused activities on-line.
