(Ottawa) Today, the Ottawa Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) arrested an Ottawa man following a child luring investigation.
The man contacted a police officer posing as a 14-year-old girl on a social media site. On March 21st, the man made arrangements to meet with the young girl for a sexual encounter. Police officers arrested the man, at the pre-determined location.
Matthieu Marcel MARTEL, 20 years old, of Ottawa is charged with two counts of Computer contact with a person under 18 years of age, one count of Computer contact with a person under 16 years of age for a sexual purpose, and one count of Breach of probation.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Saturday, March 22nd for a bail hearing.
