(CLINTON, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, (OPP) Technological Crime Unit and the Huron County OPP Detachment have arrested and charged a Clinton man following a child pornography investigation.
On January 14th, 2015 police executed a search warrant at a Clinton residence after receiving information that an individual was accessing and in possession of Child Pornography. As a result of the investigation, one computer and related computer equipment pertinent to the investigation was seized which contained images of child sexual abuse.
On January 14th, 2015, police arrested Kevin VANBEERS, 46 years-old of Clinton and charged him with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Accessing Child Pornography.
The accused appeared for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich, Ontario on January 14th, 2015. He was released on a recognizance and is scheduled to appear on February 9th, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich, Ontario.
The investigation is continuing.
