Perth County OPP Supports Emergency Preparedness Week

(PERTH COUNTY, ON) – This week is National Emergency Preparedness Week (May 1-7), and the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to encourage everyone to make a plan and know what to do during an emergency.

During this week, Perth County, its member municipalities, and emergency service providers want to reinforce the importance of planning and preparing for emergencies and disasters before they happen.

“The Perth County Emergency Management Coordinator in cooperation with partner agencies has developed an emergency preparedness guide entitled “Together We’re Ready”. This guide is a vital resource for all Perth County residents to help prepare them for emergencies and disasters. I urge everyone to obtain a copy of the guide, or access it online. Plan, prepare, and know what to do in an emergency. “Lives depend on it”. Inspector Rob SCOTT, Perth County OPP.

This vital guide is available at the County Courthouse, Perth District Health Unit, and the four Perth County Municipal offices. It is also available at the following web site www.perthcounty.ca/emergency
