(PERTH COUNTY, ON) As a result of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), province wide “Distracted Driving Campaignâ€Â, that ran from Saturday March 8th until Friday March 14th, the Perth County OPP has ticketed a large number of drivers.
Throughout this week long campaign, Perth County officers have charged a total of 37 drivers with driving a motor vehicle while using a hand-held communication device.
Drivers need to be aware that as of tomorrow (March 18, 2014), the fine for distracted driving is increasing from $155 to $280.
