(BLUEWATER, ON) – An early morning traffic stop east of Bayfield resulted in a 36 year old male driver losing his driving privileges for an automatic 90 days. At approximately 2:20 a.m. on April 27, 2013 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a silver Toyota pickup truck on Mill Road near Bronson Line. Upon speaking with the driver the officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside test was completed and the driver registered a fail on the device. Officers arrested the driver and transported him to the Huron Detachment for breath tests. He provided two samples of his breath, both were above the legal limit.
Perica VASILJEVIC, 36, from Belmont has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on June 10, 2013. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and the motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
