Pedestrian struck in Milton

On Friday July 15, 2016, Halton Regional Police Service responded to a pedestrian being struck by a motor vehicle on Derry Road near Fourth Line in the Town of Milton.

At approximately 5:45PM, a 25 year-old Milton woman exited a GO Commuter Bus after stopping on Derry Road and attempted to cross southbound. While attempting to cross the roadway, the woman walked into the path of a westbound motor vehicle and was struck.

The woman was rushed to a Trauma Centre where she is listed in stable but critical condition.

A section of Derry Road was closed for approximately 3 hours for the collision scene investigation.

The driver of the vehicle, a 41 year-old Milton man, was not injured in the collision.

Alcohol and speed are not believed to be a factor.
