Pedestrian Struck And More Stabbings At Wasaga Beach – Three Arrested – Two Wanted

(WASAGA BEACH, ON) On July 2ND, 2016 Huronia West OPP officers were on patrol near Beach Area 1 in Wasaga Beach when they observed a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at a high rate of speed. Officers were able to stop the vehicle a short distance later. During the investigation, police learned the driver of the motor vehicle had been stabbed during an altercation on beach drive. Police also discovered a second male suffering from a stab wound received during the same altercation.

Both males were treated at hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A quantity of drugs was seized from the vehicle.

Three males have been arrested in relation to this incident.

38 year old Marco DIPELINO of Brampton, ON has been charged with:

28 year old Ryan GIBSON of Mississauga, ON has been charged with:

Assault Criminal Code section 266

A 35 year old male has been charged with:

Flight while Pursued by Peace Officer CC 249.1(1)

Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle CC 249(1)(a)

3 x Possession of a substance for the purpose of Trafficking CDSA 5(2)

Police are appealing to the public in assisting with identifying two other involved males including the male believe to be responsible for the stabbings.
