On May 26, 2015 at approximately 3:50 p.m., a 51 year-old Cambridge woman was struck by a car while crossing King Street East in the city of Cambridge. The woman was attempting to cross King Street just north of Bishop street at a non designated area. When northbound traffic stopped, she proceeded across the street and was hit by a southbound motor vehicle. The woman was taken to Cambridge Memorial Hospital in stable condition with leg and shoulder injuries. The pedestrian is facing a charge of failing to use a crosswalk under the Highway Traffic Act. Police remind all pedestrians to use caution when crossing the street and to cross at crosswalks.
