On Monday, July 25, 2016, at approximately 10:00 a.m., a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that was travelling east bound on Willow Rd. A woman ran north bound into traffic, in front of City of Guelph transit bus, that was stopped at the bus stop, to cross Willow Rd. A vehicle that was travelling east bound, avoided striking the woman head on by veering into the oncoming lane. The vehicle did strike the pedestrian with the front right fender. The woman was transported to the Guelph General Hospital by paramedics, were she was treated for a concussion. The pedestrian was charged with failing to use a cross walk.
