On October 5, 2015 at 6:40 a.m., the Guelph Police went to the intersection of Delhi Street and Speedvale Avenue for the report of a pedestrian struck. It is alleged that a grey four door BMW, operated by a 63-year-old Guelph female, turned left from Delhi onto Speedvale striking a pedestrian walking northbound across Speedvale.
The pedestrian, a 61-year-old Guelph female, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Guelph General Hospital, treated and released a short time later.
The driver has been charged with fail to yield to pedestrian under the Highway Traffic Act.
