On March 27, 2014 at 8:40 p.m., the Guelph Police went to Edinburgh Road to investigate a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. It is alleged that a 22-year-old Cambridge female was crossing Edinburgh Road South in the vicinity of Chancellors Way. There are no traffic controls in this area. As the female entered the southbound curb lane she was struck by a Toyota operated by a 45-year-old Guelph male.
The pedestrian was assisted at the scene by witnesses and passersby before being transported to Guelph General Hospital by paramedics. She sustained minor neck, back and leg injuries.
