Pedestrian Collision Closes Hwy 9 – One Airlifted To London

(KINCARDINE TWP, ON) – On June 18, 2016 at 12:17 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a collision involving a pedestrian on Highway 9 in Kincardine Township. Officers arrived with Bruce County paramedics to find a Silver minivan was involved in the crash.

The pedestrian has been air lifted to a London hospital with life threatening injuries.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit is assisting the South Bruce OPP with this investigation.

Highway 9 has been closed between Bervie side road and Side road 30 north for the protection of emergency responders. Motorists are asked to respect the closure and avoid the incident area.

The investigation is in its early stages.
