(TOWN OF FERGUS, ON) – On Friday September 21, 2012 at approximately 1:38pm County of Wellington OPP officers were notified of a shoplifter found at the Zehrs Markets at 800 Tower Street, in Fergus.
Store staff advised police that they noticed a female party take multiple food items and beauty products off the shelves and place them in her personal bags that were in her shopping cart. The female then exited the store without paying for the items. The female was confronted by store staff and arrested for theft.
Paula Swift aged 39 of Drayton has been charged with Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on October 26, 2012 to answer to the charge.
