Paul Haney – Drunk Driving

(KINCARDINE, ON.) – The South Bruce OPP are pleased to report no serious injuries stemming from a traffic collision over the Thanksgiving Weekend. All available officers participated in Operation Impact which supports Canada’s Road Safety Vision “to make Canada’s roadways the safest in the world”.

o 52 year old Darryl Dahms of Greenock Township is facing a charge of Turn not in safety following a two vehicle collision on October 9th, 2009 at 12:30 pm at the intersection of Jackson Street and Scott Street in Walkerton. (LP09257288)

o 21 year old Aaviri Pal of Mississauga is facing a charge of Fail To Yield following a two vehicle collision on October 9th, 2009 at 3:30 pm involving minor injuries at the intersection of Highway 21 and County Road 20 in Bruce Township. (LP0925 7455)

o 22 year old Andrew Rodgers of Hamilton is facing a charge of Careless Driving following a single vehicle collision, with minor injuries, on October 9th, 2009 at 3:40 pm. Rodgers vehicle left Highway 9, Carrick Township and struck a pole. (LP09257474)

o 22 year old Brett Schnurr of Walkerton is facing charges of Operate with Over 80 mgs and Possession of a Controlled Substance from a RIDE check stop on Jackson Street South in Walkerton. Schnurr’s vehicle was towed from the scene. He is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on November 30th to answer to the charges. (LP09258021)

o 17 year old Courtney Bushell of Walkerton and 19 year old Peter Verberne of Carrick Township are both facing a charge of Careless Driving following a three vehicle collision October 10th, 2009 at 9:40 am on Elora Street in Mildmay. (LP09258267)

o 18 year old Stephen Keip of Walkerton is facing a charge of Stunt Driving following a traffic stop on October 10th, 2009 at 2:21 pm. Keip’s vehicle was observed travelling at 136 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone along County Road 12, Culross Township. Keip’s licence has been suspended for 7 days and his vehicle is impounded for 7 days. (LP09258564)

o 56 year old Paul Haney of Waterloo is facing a charge of Impaired Driving following a traffic stop on Campbell Street in Lucknow. Haney’s vehicle was towed from the scene. He is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on November 24th to answer to the charge.
