Patrick Dumont – Drunk Driving, Passed Out

On July 6, 2009 shortly after midnight, Huron OPP officers were called by witnesses to a report of an erratic driver on Lidderdale Street in Bluewater. A male driving his vehicle got it lodged up on a rock and could not move it. The male was attempting to move the vehicle by revving the engine and spinning the tires.

Officers attended the scene and located the vehicle and driver. By that time the driver was passed out in the vehicle. He was arrested and taken to the Exeter Detachment where he met with a qualified Intoxilizer Technician to provide two samples of his breath. The results of the tests confirmed that Patrick Dumont (19) of London had over two times above the legal limit of alcohol in his system at the time of driving. He will be returning to Goderich Court on September 14, 2009 to answer to one count of Impaired Driving and one count of Drive With Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. His licence was suspended on the spot for a period of 90 days.
