(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Friday July 04, 2014, after 11:30 p.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a driving complaint involving a southbound red mini-van on Highway 23 north of Listowel.
Officers located the van on Tremaine Ave. South in Listowel. The male driver failed a roadside breath test. He also failed subsequent Intoxilyzer breath tests at the OPP Detachment in Teviotdale. The male was also found to be in possession of Marihuana.
Patrick DINEEN (29) of the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with the following offences:
– Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of a schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana – over 30 grams, contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Listowel on August 06, 2014, to answer to these charges. In addition, he was issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his Dodge Caravan was impounded for 7 days.
