On Sunday morning at 2:24am, a uniform officer on routine patrol in the downtown core observed an intoxicated male about to enter a vehicle on Dunlop St. W. and Toronto St. The officer spoke briefly to the male who advised that he was a federal parolee on statutory release with conditions. A check of police records indicated that one of the conditions was that the male not consume alcohol. The 48 year old Barrie resident was arrested and taken to the station, where the Federal Parole Board revoked the male’s parole. He will be returned to jail.
