(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – The Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating the theft of a painting that occurred sometime during the evening dance on Saturday 1, February 2014. The painting was taken from the Propeller Club which is located at 575 Edward Street in the town of Wiarton.
The Propeller Club is celebrating their 65th anniversary in Wiarton this year and this painting holds a great amount of sentimental value to the Club, they have requested that they do not want anyone charged in this matter, they would just like the painting returned with no questions asked.
The painting is approximately three feet by four feet with an antique frame and it depicts a captain with a pipe standing in front of a large wooden steering wheel.
The Bruce Peninsula OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122.
