Overnight Vehicle Entries

(KINCARDINE, ON) – On June 25th, 2011 at 8:48 am, the South Bruce OPP received a report of an overnight vehicle entry and theft from a residence along Broadway Street in Kincardine. Between 10:00 pm on June 24th, 2011 and 7:00 am on June 25th, 2011 5 vehicles were entered on Broadway Street, Huron Terrace and Durham Street in Kincardine. The list of stolen items includes coins, batteries, Tim Horton’s card, CAA card, CD’s, Garmin GPS and a bright orange wallet with carrying strap. The value of the stolen items is estimated at more than $700. The South Bruce OPP is reminding vehicle owners about the “Lock it or Lose it” theft prevention strategies:

Always lock the vehicle’s doors and windows.
If you have a garage use it. Lock the door and the vehicle.
Always park your vehicle in a well lit area.
Keep valuables out of sight, put them in the trunk.
