(HURON COUNTY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating two recent thefts from motor vehicles. In both cases the vehicles were left unlocked. Sometime between 10:00 p.m. on June 9, 2013 and 7:00 a.m. on June 10, 2013 someone entered an unlocked pickup truck that was parked on Motz Boulevard in Exeter. A Samsung cellphone and a Tom Tom GPS system were stolen. Another theft from a parked vehicle took place on Goderich Street in Seaforth. Sometime on June 7, 2013 someone entered the victim’s vehicle and stole an IPOD and a GPS system.
As the weather warms up, thefts from motor vehicles tend to spike. Huron County OPP officers are reminding everyone Lock it or Lose it”. Always roll up your vehicle’s windows
