(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On February 9, 2017 at approximately 8:28 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possible impaired driver operating a black Mercedes Benz on Grey Rd. 4 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. The vehicle was said to be swerving all over the road and was nearly involved in a collision with another vehicle.
Police located the suspect vehicle stopped on Sydenham Street in Flesherton, just north of Grey Rd. 4. The vehicle was running and the driver, who police determined had been drinking alcohol, was arrested for impaired care and control of a vehicle and transported to the Chatsworth OPP detachment for breath tests. Test results indicated that the driver’s blood/alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit.
54-year old Scott PRAILL of Chatham, Ontario was charged with care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and, care and control over 80 mg.
He is scheduled to attend court in Owen Sound on February 23, 2017.
