Outboard Motor Stolen From Repair Shop

(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Tuesday morning May 22, 2012, Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to a repair shop along Huron Road in Mitchell where the owner was reporting the theft of an outboard motor which had been attached to a boat that was parked at the business.

Investigation revealed that sometime between 5:30 p.m. Monday May 21st , and 8 a.m. Tuesday May 22nd , an unknown person unhooked the 1973 grey and blue, 50 horsepower Evinrude, 2 cylinder, no spark, outboard motor from a blue Sears boat.

Anyone having knowledge of this theft or knowing the whereabouts of the outboard motor is requested to contact the Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
