(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – A driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle has been impounded for getting behind the wheel while impaired.
On December 7, 2014 at approximately 7:00 p.m. a Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police officer was on patrol on Richmond Street by Fourteen Mile Road in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre when he checked on the status of a vehicle parked idling on the side of the road.
As the officer interacted with the driver, it was apparent the driver was impaired and had been drinking. The driver was arrested and brought to a police detachment for further tests. As a result of the investigation, the male driver, Oune LUANGKHAM, age 58 of St. Mary’s, Ontario has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Care or Control Over 80 Milligrams under the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was later released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in a London courtroom January 22, 2015 to speak to the charges.
