Ottawa Police seeking public assistance to track movement of found boat

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service is requesting public assistance for information regarding a found fishing boat, last seen in the Shirley’s Bay area on Sunday, August 18, 2013 around 3 pm. The boat was recovered near the Aylmer Marina with no one on board.

The private vessel is a 17ft, Larson with a 115 HP Evinrude Intruder out board motor. The boat is white with a large blue racing stripe down either side with blue carpet interior.

At the request of the family, police are not releasing the name of the boat operator.
