Ottawa Police member charged with Impaired Driving

(Ottawa)—As a result of an incident on July 5, 2015, an off-duty Ottawa Police Service member has been charged by the Service de la sécurité publique de la MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais with driving while impaired.

Cst Jarrid Foley, 37 years old of Ottawa was charged on September 9, 2015 with Operating a motor vehicle with over 80mg of alcohol/100ml of blood, per section 253(1) (b) and having the Care or control of a motor vehicle, while his ability to drive a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol or a drug, per section 253(1) (a) of the Criminal Code.

As a result, he has been assigned to administrative duties. The Ottawa Police Service Professional Standards Section has begun an investigation into this matter.
