(Ottawa) — On Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at approx. 2:31 pm, a 66 year old female was crossing the southbound on Ogilvie Rd at City Park Dr. when she was struck by a pickup truck making a left turn onto Ogilvie Rd from City Park Dr.
The female pedestrian was transported by Ottawa Paramedic to an area hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The 49 year old male driver of the pickup was uninjured.
Investigators have determined that speed and alcohol were not factors in this collision.
The Ottawa Police Collision Investigation Unit has taken carriage of this investigation.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
