Ottawa Police investigating weekend robbery

(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a weekend robbery of a female victim in Blackburn Hamlet.

On October 19, 2013, at approximately 1:00 am, the female victim, age 69, exited an OC Transpo bus and began walking along Innes Rd. The victim then felt someone trying to take her bag from behind. The victim held onto the bag at which point the suspect let go, punched the victim to the head, made a derogatory remark, and then fled empty handed. A second suspect stood by as this occurred. The victim sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention. The suspects were last seen running southbound on Beddoe Lane.

The suspects are described as follows:

#1: Caucasian male, 18-22 yrs, 135lbs, thin build, shaved head, blonde hair, oval face, pale complexion, white bomber style jacket, pale blue jeans.

#2: Caucasian male, 18-22 yrs, dark blue jeans.
