(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a violent June retail robbery.
On June 12, 2013, at approximately 9:15 pm, an employee of a coffee shop situated along the 900 block of Montreal Road had just left the premises after closing when he was reportedly accosted by two suspects, both partially disguised, outside the store. One suspect was armed with a shotgun while the second carried pepper spray or similar. The employee was assaulted, and then escorted back into the store by the suspects. A small amount of cash was taken by the suspects. The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the robbery.
The suspects are described as follows:
Suspect #1-Male, dark complexion, approx. 6’2(188 cm)
