Ottawa Police Charges Two Men With Thefts From Vehicles

(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service charged an adult male and a male young offender with theft from vehicles.

On Thursday, August 29, 2013, in the early hours of the morning, a concerned citizen called police to report that two males were in and around a vehicle in the driveway of a home on Birdseye Terrace in Orleans.

Patrol Officers responded and the two males were subsequently arrested and searched. Property from vehicles in the area was found on their persons.

As a result, Ayden Foley-O’Brien, 18 years old, and a young offender were charged separately with two counts of Possession of Stolen Property, two counts of Trespass by night, two counts of theft under $5000 and one count of Attempt theft each.

Ayden-Foley O’Brien was also charged with one count of possession of a break-in instrument.

The Ottawa Police Service would like to remind the public to lock car doors to help prevent this type of crime and report anything suspicious in your neighborhood.
