(Ottawa) A 32-year-old Ottawa man is facing multiple charges following a domestic incident that ended peacefully with Ottawa Police this morning.
The Ottawa Police Service attended a disturbance call in the West end where a man who was brandishing a knife was chasing a woman. A Patrol Officer arrived on scene and engaged the male at gunpoint, ordering him to drop the knife.
Tactical Officers soon arrived and prepared to deploy the taser. The man then dropped the knife and was taken into custody without further incident.
The Ottawa man is charged with Assault with a weapon, Assault, Weapons dangerous, Breach of recognizance and Breach of probation.
