Ottawa man charged with Possession and Accessing Child Pornography

(Ottawa) — Today, the Ottawa Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) charged an Ottawa man following an investigation where he had been observed accessing Child Pornography in a public place.

This incident took place in late December of 2015 at a local coffee shop where Internet access is provided for free.

A search warrant was subsequently executed in the 300 block of Dundas Street. Several computers and external digital media devices were seized and are being forensically analysed.

Andre RUSSO, 68 years old, of Ottawa, has been charged with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Accessing Child Pornography.

He is scheduled to appear at court for a bail hearing on Saturday, January 9th.
