Ottawa man charged with Fraud and other offenses

(Ottawa) — Today, the Ottawa Police Organized Fraud Unit charged an Ottawa man with several fraud related charges.

The suspect used Kijiji ads to advertise his small engine repairs business. However, the repairs did not occur and money was taken and in many cases, the suspects used the items for personal use.

Michael LAROCQUE, 34 years old of Ottawa, is charged with six counts of Fraud under $5,000, five counts of False Pretence, two counts of Take Motor Vehicle without Consent, three counts of Mischief, one count of theft under $5,000 and two counts of Possession of Stolen Property.
