(Ottawa)— An Ottawa Police Service investigation has resulted in four charges laid against one individual after a driving related incident was reported to the police. The accused and the victim did not know one another. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
On Saturday, April 16th, 2016, the Ottawa Police Service responded to a traffic incident on Albion Road. The East District Investigation Unit conducted an investigation resulting in the following charges.
Charged in this case is Ransara VARUSHAWITHANA, 26 years old of Ottawa:
Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle Causing Bodily Harm, one count
Assault with a Weapon, one count
Assault Causing Bodily Harm, one count
Obstructing/Resisting Arrest, one count
The accused is to appear in court today.
