OPP Investigating Goderich Break and Enters

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating two daylight break, enter and thefts that occurred in the west end of Goderich last Friday afternoon.

The first break and enter was reported to police by an Elizabeth Street property owner. Police investigation revealed a thief forced entry into the resident’s home through a kitchen window sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. on May 23, 2014. The thief stole approximately $2000 worth of jewellery consisting of a chain necklace and two gold rings with diamonds.

Nearby on Picton Street West a home owner noticed someone had entered the home and stole jewellery. The thief entered forced entry into the residence sometime on Friday afternoon between 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Once inside the residence the thief proceeded to steal approximately $4000 worth of jewellery and a nominal amount of cash.

The stolen items include: A gold, “twisted” bangle bracelet, three matching earrings, and a gold ring with a golden beryl gemstone.
